On 25 February, another consultation meeting was held in Gołdap to discuss the joint development of a brand strategy and promotional activities for health resorts in the Polish-Lithuanian border region. This was a stage summarising and building on the work carried out during earlier workshops in Augustów (12 February) and Druskininkai (19 February), where participants analysed the region’s potential and set out directions for further cooperation. In Gołdap, these activities continued, building on the conclusions and concepts developed previously.
Work on the strategy document is one of the components of the project “‘Spa Partnership for Border Region Development’’, which is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI A Lithuania–Poland 2021–2027 Programme, implemented in partnership with: Gołdap Municipality, Druskininkai Town Administration, the Municipality of Augustów, the Cultural Centre in Gołdap, and the associated partners: the Birštonas Administration and the Municipality of Supraśl.
The second round of workshops is scheduled for June this year. We invite anyone interested to get involved in the work on the strategy currently being developed. The final version of the document is due to be completed in August this year, and the second round of consultation workshops is scheduled for June.
