On 18 May 2026, a delegation from Gołdap took part in a visit to Supraśl. The meeting took place as part of the ‘Health Resort Partnership for Border Region Development’ project, which aims to strengthen cooperation between health resorts and to exchange experiences regarding the development of health and tourism functions in border regions.

The programme for the visit included a meeting at Supraśl Town Hall and an opportunity to learn about the spa’s activities during a visit to the Spa Hospital. The delegation had the opportunity to learn about the facility’s range of treatments, infrastructure and future development plans.

Later in the day, the participants visited the Old Vicarage and the Tourist Information Centre, where they were given a presentation on the historical and tourist attractions of Supraśl. The next item on the programme was a visit to the Culture and Recreation Centre, the Library and the Senior Citizens’ Club, which gave them an insight into the community’s social and cultural activities.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange best practices, learn about the initiatives in place in Supraśl, and establish further cooperation in the areas of spa development, tourism, culture and sport in border regions.

The visit took place as part of the project ‘Health Resort Partnership for Border Region Development’, carried out in partnership with Augustów, Supraśl and the Lithuanian health resorts of Druskininkai and Birštonas. The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland Programme 2021–2027.
