On 25 September, representatives of local authorities, institutions and organisations from Poland and Lithuania met at the Gołdap Mineral and Medicinal Waters Pump Room to jointly launch the project activities.

During the event, a ceremony was held to sign the agreement on the joint monitoring committee, and the panel discussions covered topics such as:

  • the role of health resorts as drivers of regional development,
  • the promotion and funding of health resorts in the age of new media,
  • the importance of cross-border cooperation in health tourism.

Guests also had the opportunity to find out about the spa development projects carried out in Gołdap over recent years.

The conference was the first step towards building a strong Polish-Lithuanian partnership to develop health tourism and promote health resorts.

We would like to thank all participants for attending and for their active involvement!

The opening conference for the ‘Partnership of Health Resorts for Border Region Development’ project was co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland Programme 2021–2027.
