On 25 September 2025, a conference marking the launch of the project ‘Partnership of Health Resorts for the Development of the Border Region’, implemented under the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2021–2027.
The event will be attended by representatives of the partner towns – Gołdap, Augustów, Druskininkai, Birštonas and Supraśl – as well as representatives of regional and European institutions. The programme includes, amongst other things, the signing of an agreement on a joint monitoring committee, expert panels on the development and promotion of health resorts, and a presentation of examples of health resort investments in Gołdap.
The conference is an important element of cross-border cooperation, facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practice in the field of sustainable development of health resorts and the strengthening of the potential of health tourism.
The event is being organised as part of the strategic project ‘Partnership of Health Resorts for the Development of the Border Region’, which is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland 2021–2027.
