From 11 to 13 July 2025, Gołdap became a hub of positive energy and cooperation! This was all thanks to the ‘Breathe for Health. Gołdap Festival’ event, which combined the excitement of live music with the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, community building, partnership initiatives and attractions for the whole family. During the event, the tourism and health potential of the border region’s health resorts was promoted, local produce was sampled, and visitors could take part in numerous activities and events related to health and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
The festival was organised as part of the strategic project ‘Partnership of Health Resorts for the Development of the Border Region’, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2021–2027.
The main objective of the project is the sustainable development of spa tourism in the Polish-Lithuanian border region. The project focuses on inter-regional and cross-border cooperation, which is why we welcomed representatives from Birštonas in Lithuania and the town of Augustów to the festival, who showcased the offerings and potential of the health resorts in the Podlaskie Voivodeship and Lithuania.
As part of the Festival, the ‘Health Village’ in the centre of Gołdap offered a host of attractions – a space filled with relaxation, exercise, knowledge and flavours, buzzing with a wide range of activities. Visitors could take part in cookery workshops and talks on diet, breathing, water and massage; consultations with psychologists and physiotherapists were available, as well as classes in yoga, Pilates and slow jogging. The stalls featured natural products, local crafts and delicacies from various parts of the region. Creative activities were also organised for children and whole families.
There were also concerts and artistic performances, which drew crowds of music lovers. Every evening ended with smiles, singing and applause. The stage, the lights and the incredible atmosphere showed that Gołdap knows how to party in style.
