On 12 February, a consultation workshop was held in Augustów as part of the work on a brand and promotion strategy for health resorts in the Polish-Lithuanian border region. The event was attended by representatives from Augustów, Druskininkai, Birštonas and Supraśl. Gołdap was represented by, amongst others, representatives of the Town Hall and Town Council, the management of municipal institutions and companies, including GoldMedici and the Vocational School Complex, representatives of local non-governmental organisations, and local entrepreneurs involved in the tourism, hospitality and spa sectors.
During the workshops, participants jointly analysed the region’s potential, shared their experiences and drew up proposals for courses of action that would strengthen the image of the border region’s health resorts and contribute to the development of the region’s health and tourism offering.
We would like to thank all the representatives from Gołdap for their active participation, commitment and valuable contributions to the workshop.
The meeting in Augustów marks the next stage in the partnership-based promotion of the health resort regions of Poland and Lithuania.
We have further activities ahead of us: on 19 February, there will be another workshop – this time in Druskininkai – and on 25 February we will meet in Gołdap. We look forward to continued fruitful collaboration and inspiring discussions as the project progresses.
